Copenhagen was the chestnut warhorse the Duke of Wellington rode at Waterloo. This reproduces an early nineteenth-century oil study of him — and the horse is the finished part. The rider is barely there: a blank uniformed torso sketched in over a loose brown ground, no face, no hands. Whoever painted it cared about the horse.

Reproduced on premium canvas in a two-tone frame — a black outer moulding with a ribbed gold inner lip. Glass-free, with paper backing and hanging hardware included. Made in the United States.
